Level 4

In our level 4 classes, for ages 9–12, parents can expect a balance of structure, skill development, and creativity. At this age, classes place greater emphasis on technique, strength, flexibility, and coordination while continuing to encourage self-expression. Students learn more complex combinations and choreography, improve musicality, and build endurance. Instructors foster a positive, focused environment where dancers develop confidence, teamwork, and discipline, while continuing to grow their passion for dance.

Available Styles

Ballet

Ballet classes at this level are focused on developing strong technical foundations. Students work on proper alignment, strength, flexibility, and control through barre exercises, center work, and across-the-floor combinations. At this level, dancers begin learning more complex steps, turns, and jumps while refining technique and musicality. Instructors emphasize focus, perseverance, and attention to detail, helping students build confidence, grace, and an appreciation for the artistry of ballet.

Musical Theater Dance

Musical Theater Dance is energetic, expressive, and performance-focused. Classes combine dance, acting, and storytelling as students learn choreography inspired by Broadway-style routines. Dancers build coordination, musicality, and stage presence while exploring character and emotion through movement. Instructors create a supportive environment where students gain confidence, improve performance skills, and learn to work as an ensemble—all while having fun bringing stories to life.

Contemporary

In contemporary dance, students will explore movement that blends elements of ballet and modern dance, working on balance, strength, flexibility, and control. Classes often include warm-ups, across-the-floor exercises, and short choreographed pieces, along with opportunities for improvisation to encourage individual expression. Instructors provide a supportive environment where dancers develop confidence, musicality, performance skills, and a deeper understanding of how movement can convey emotion and storytelling.

Jazz

At this level, students build on foundational technique while learning more advanced jazz elements such as turns, jumps, kicks, and dynamic footwork. Classes typically include a thorough warm-up, across-the-floor progressions, and upbeat choreography set to age-appropriate music. Instructors emphasize strength, flexibility, precision, and performance quality, while encouraging dancers to develop confidence, style, and stage presence in a positive and supportive environment.

Tap

Our level 4 tap class is rhythm-driven, engaging, and progressively challenging. Students build on basic tap skills while learning more complex footwork, timing, and combinations that improve coordination and musicality. Classes often include warm-ups, across-the-floor exercises, and choreographed routines that focus on clarity of sound and precision. Instructors encourage focus, listening skills, and confidence, helping dancers develop strong rhythm, memory, and performance abilities in a fun and supportive environment.

Hip Hop

Level 4 hip hop is high-energy, engaging, and skill-building. Students learn foundational hip hop techniques such as grooves, footwork, isolations, and basic tricks, while improving coordination, strength, and musicality. Classes typically include a warm-up, skill progressions, and dynamic choreography set to age-appropriate music. Instructors encourage individuality, confidence, and style, creating a positive environment where dancers can express themselves, build teamwork, and develop strong performance skills.
